they have a metal spring inside the tank called a "check valve" to dispense water. its made of METAL. my family drank rust for 3 months! gross. my 4 year old and newborn. very unhappy, besides this price is a rip off-this model is discontinued the newer better model is on the cuisinart website and much cheaper.
