My dog pulled a ligament in front paw and was not allowed to jump up or down from my bed ( yes, my dog sleeps on my bed ). I bought this so that she could climb up and down. Turns out, she'll use it for going up, but not down. I think it's because the stairs are meant for smaller dogs ( my dog is a border collie and weighs around 65 lbs ). In all, I like the stairs but it seems my daughter plays with them more than my dog uses them.
